Rogue Traders have teamed up with Dannii Minogue for their new single, “Dirty Dirty Disco”, marking the first collaboration between the Australian dance-rock favourites and the pop icon.

Released today (September 10th), the track pairs Minogue with Rogue Traders’ Natalie Bassingthwaighte for a high-energy return to the dance floor, built around pulsing beats, disco influences and catchy pop hooks.

“‘Dirty Dirty Disco’ is about that feeling when the lights go down, the music comes on and nothing else matters,” Rogue Traders’ James Ash said. “We wanted to make a song that feels fun, unapologetic and impossible not to dance to — and having Dannii join Natalie on the track made it even more special.”

The collab brings together two very familiar voices from Australian pop and dance music, with Minogue describing the track as a natural fit.

“It’s time to disco again,” she said. “This track was an absolute joy to create with James and Natalie from Rogue Traders. It has a throbbing beat, glamorous swag, and a bounce in the groove that makes me want to dance,” she said.

The track is accompanied by a high-glam music video leaning heavily into the song’s disco aesthetic, with Bassingthwaighte saying the collaboration extended beyond the studio.

“Teaming up with Dannii was incredible — she’s an absolute superstar and we had so much fun working on this together,” she said. “For me, it has everything you want from a great dance record — pure disco, a killer beat and the energy that brings that instant feel-good factor.

“We had an absolute blast making the video; the outfits, the glamour, the lights, the movement — it captures everything we love about the song.”

Disco has been a solid theme since Rogue Traders made their big comeback in 2023 with their first single in a decade, “To the Disco”.

“Our fans have been so patient in waiting for new music from us after all of these years and the truth is, it takes time to get things feeling right,” Bassingthwaight said at the time.

The release comes as the “Voodoo Child” hitmakers mark 21 years with their national anniversary tour, ‘The Anthems’, which celebrates the band’s double-decade back catalogue.

Additional dates have been added across October and November 2026 as part of the anniversary run. Tickets for ‘The Anthems’ tour are on sale via their website.
