Rhythm and Vines has announced its final festival at the iconic Waiohika Estate.
“We have an important announcement to make. R&V 2026 will be the final Rhythm and Vines held in Gisborne,” organisers wrote in a social media post today (July 21st).
“For 24 years, we’ve come together here to welcome the new year surrounded by music, mates, unforgettable sunsets and sunrises, and those ‘love you, bro’ moments that stay with us long after the final song.
“For almost a quarter of a century, Gisborne has welcomed a generation of Kiwis and festival lovers, helping us create the ultimate New Year’s destination. To the people of Gisborne – thank you.”
The social media statement adds that the first artist lineup for ‘Chapter 24: The Final Dance’ will be announced next week on Wednesday, July 29th.
“This one will hit different,” organisers promise.
“We hope to see new and familiar faces at Waiohika Estate one last time, as we celebrate this extraordinary chapter before embarking on a new journey,” the statement continues.

The final festival at Waiohika Estate brings to an end Rhythm and Vines’s historic 24-year chapter in the region.
According to a press release, Rhythm and Vines is moving in order to “support the festival’s long-term future and continued evolution.”
Rhythm and Vines will relocate to a new, undisclosed location in 2027.
“Gisborne has been the heart and home of Rhythm and Vines for nearly a quarter of a century,” says Rhythm and Vines Festival CEO Kieran Spillane.
“We are incredibly proud of what we have built alongside the community, and deeply grateful to everyone who has helped create 24 years of New Year’s magic at Waiohika Estate.”
