Another New Zealand festival is coming to Australia.
Following the news that L.A.B and Loop are bringing their 8TH WONDER festival Down Under, AFROSOUL has today announced its expansion to a second event in Brisbane.
AFROSOUL is the creation of Nigerian-New Zealand UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya and entertainment entrepreneur Mitch Lowe.
The festival “curates a world-class African and Afrobeats celebration for the Australian diaspora while welcoming audiences from every background,” according to a press release.
After debuting in 2025 with global sensation Burna Boy, AFROSOUL 2026 will first head to Auckland’s GO Media Stadium on Saturday, October 10th, before crossing the Tasman for the very first time for a second event at Eatons Hill in Brisbane on Sunday, October 11th (see full details below).
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Thursday, July 23rd at 5pm AEST. The pre-sale begins on Wednesday, July 22nd at 5pm AEST.
UFC star Adesanya can’t wait to cross the ditch. “We started off local, now we’re going global,” he shares in a statement. “Feeding souls through music, dance, food, and much more. There’s nothing quite like the energy felt at AAFROSOUL — the sights, sounds, tastes, and movement come together to share a true slice of Africa, all on the other side of the world.
