Another one bites the dust.
Another Australian festival has announced it will not go ahead this year, with Adelaide’s Harvest Rock today (July 3rd) confirming it will be taking a break.
“Harvest Rock will be taking a fallow year in 2026. We know this will be disappointing news to many of you, but good things take time, and we’re already working on future plans,” a statement posted to Instagram reads.
“We appreciate the ongoing support of the South Australian Government in making the event a huge success to date, and we look forward to partying with you soon.”

The news comes despite last year’s comeback edition, held on October 25th and 26th across Rymill Park / Murlawirrapurka and King Rodney Park / Ityamai-itpina, proving to be one of the event’s biggest yet. Saturday tickets sold out in under 24 hours, while remaining Sunday and weekend passes were quickly snapped up.
Harvest Rock launched in 2022 and quickly established itself as one of Australia’s premier boutique festivals, combining major international acts with local favourites alongside South Australia’s celebrated food, wine, and hospitality offerings.
In 2024, the festival was “postponed” to “ensure that [it] continues to deliver the experience that our local, national and international fans have come to know and love into the future”.
Past Harvest Rock lineups have included artists like Jack White, Crowded House, Jamiroquai, Beck, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Groove Armada, Sam Fender, Ocean Alley, and Tash Sultana.
Rolling Stone AU/NZ attended last year’s edition, headlined by The Strokes and Jelly Roll, and gave it a 4-star review.
