Crooked Colours has announced his new album.
The singer-songwriter and producer’s fourth studio album, Dirt Road Gold, will arrive on Friday, August 21st.
Once a trio but now solely led by lead singer Philip Slabber, this is a deeply personal release for the Crooked Colours project.
“The inspiration for the album wasn’t one single thing, it was movement. Change. The push and pull between holding onto what’s familiar and letting it go,” Slabber explains.
“There were moments of isolation, but also a lot of clarity in that space. Sonically, I wanted it to feel expansive but intimate at the same time, something that could live in a club but still hit you when you’re alone driving at night. I want you to be able to hear the moments.”
Arriving alongside today’s album announcement is new single “Oxford”, which you can listen to below. It follows two previous 2026 drops, “Pink Limo” and “Come Thru”.

Crooked Colours’ most recent album, Tomorrows, dropped in 2022. The project’s debut, Vera (2017), was nominated for Best Independent Dance/Electronic Album in 2018.
Following the release of Dirt Road Gold in September, Slabber will take his new Crooked Colours album on the road, paying shows in Fremantle, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Byron Bay (see full dates below).
He also embarked on a national tour in 2025, before making his way across Europe. Slabber’s electrifying dance sets have previously drawn in huge crowds at Beyond the Valley, Spilt Milk, Splendour in the Grass, and more iconic festivals.
He’s collaborated with the likes of Masked Wolf, Ladyhawke, Alison Wonderland, and Bag Raiders, with his list of collaborations set to continue well into the future.
Crooked Colours’ Dirt Road Gold is out Friday, August 21st (pre-save/pre-add here).
