Macy Gray is returning to Aotearoa New Zealand for the first time in 10 long years.
Last here for a sensation performance at Raggamuffin in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland in 2016, the iconic US singer is coming back this October for shows in Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington, Kirikiriroa Hamilton, Ōtautahi Christchurch, and, of course, Auckland (see full dates below).
While in the country, Gray will also perform at the Hawke’s Bay Arts Festival on October 18th as well as the Tauranga Arts Festival on October 22nd.
Before her Aotearoa tour kicks off in earnest, Gray will embark on a massive Australian tour.
Tickets to her Aotearoa tour go on sale to the general public on Thursday, June 4th at 9am local time.
In a statement about the forthcoming tour, Gray revealed that she’ll be performing fan-favourite songs from throughout her career along with cuts from her new album, The Trouble with the Truth.
Gray has sold over 25 million records worldwide, won Grammy and BRIT Awards, and released 10 studio albums across a distinguished career.

Australians and Kiwis fell in love with Gray, widely considered on of the greatest soul and R&B singers of all time, before the rest of the world did, which makes her return to these shores all the more special.
“I Try”, for example, went straight to No. 1 in both Aotearoa and Australia, while On How Life Is spent a whopping 44 weeks on the New Zealand Albums Chart a long time before Gray’s home country fully caught on.
