Pamela Anderson has dismissed speculation about her relationship with The Naked Gun co-star Liam Neeson.

Speaking exclusively to Rolling Stone AU/NZ while in Australia on a speaking tour, the 1990s pop culture icon and actor said the pair’s connection was defined by mutual respect and an easy, professional rapport rather than anything more elaborate.

While on the press tour for their 2025 film The Naked Gun, Anderson and Neeson’s off-screen dynamic generated widespread attention and speculation over a potential romance.

“I loved working with Liam Neeson – it bothers me when people say our connection was a publicity stunt, it surely was not,” she said.

“I reserve the right to fall in love with my co-stars – it’s part of the job and feels like a real break up when all is done. The heart doesn’t know the difference! I am wise enough to know that these affairs rarely last, and I would never cross the line with a man who was taken,” Anderson continued.

“The golden rule is to not sleep with your co-stars (even if they are single) – you want to keep the heat, the passion and the mystery- fantasising is not a crime… and it’s important.”

In the interview, she also reflected more broadly on the kind of collaborators she now chooses to work with, noting that kindness, respect and emotional intelligence have become non-negotiables after decades in the industry. Rather than being drawn to ego-driven sets, she said she now gravitates toward projects where people show up fully and treat each other well.
