MAY-A is giving fans the chance to experience the full force of her exciting new era live, with the Goodbye (If You Call That Gone) tour kicking off in April.

Defined by a potent mix of liberating vulnerability and unapologetic rage, the tour will showcase brand-new songs alongside fan favourites and hits that have defined her career so far.

It will start at Brisbane’s Princess Theatre on April 2nd, before Sydney’s Liberty Hall on April 9th, Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on April 10th, Perth’s Freo.Social on April 17th, and Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory on April 18th.

Tickets will go on sale at 10am (local) on Thursday, February 5th. An MG Live presale will run from 10am (local) on Tuesday, February 3rd – sign up here.

Goodbye (If You Call That Gone) is a bold declaration of MAY-A’s independence, power, artistry, and creativity, elevated through collaborators such as Carlos De La Garza (Paramore), Chloe Dadd, Chris Greatti (Yungblud, Willow), Robby De Sa, and Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame drummer Ilan Rubin.

Set for release on February 20th, the album pushes boundaries and blurs the line between pop, rock, indie, and alternative genres, something MAY-A has become known for. “I really didn’t want this album to get tied down into any specific sound or genre. I think I’ve kind of avoided that for my whole musical career thus far, because I don’t really know where I want to go,” she told Rolling Stone AU/NZ.

“I didn’t want to lock myself too much into emo or too much into rock or too much into pop or soft pop or any of the other sub genres that there are, I kind of wanted that open slate for whatever I do next.”

The tour follows a landmark run for the ARIA nominated singer-songwriter. Over the past few years, MAY-A has opened for Glass Animals, delivered standout festival performances at Yours & Owls and Rolling Sets, and achieved a career-defining moment when Cyndi Lauper personally invited her onstage to perform ”Girls Just Want to Have Fun ” at her sold-out Sydney show.

She also topped triple j’s Hottest 100 with Flume for their collaboration “Say Nothing” in 2022, which the pair went on to perform together at Coachella. And last night she took to the stage at the Australian Open with The Kid LAROI, further cementing her status as one of Australia’s most exciting live performers.
