With Australian dates now all but confirmed, fans can expect the group to bring their full-scale live setup across the East Coast, a rare chance to hear “Insomnia,” “God Is a DJ” and “We Come 1” delivered with the kind of spiritual intensity that made them festival legends.
If the teaser is anything to go by, the shows will mark Faithless’ first Australian headline appearances since their slot at Good Vibrations in 2011.
Faithless were one of the defining electronic acts of the ’90s and ’00s, blending club-ready production with a spiritual, often politically charged sensibility. Formed in London in 1995 by producer Rollo Armstrong, vocalist/poet Maxi Jazz and singer-songwriter Sister Bliss, the trio carved out a unique space in dance music with their fusion of trance, trip-hop and house.
“Insomnia” became an era-defining anthem, its slow-burn build and iconic spoken-word hook turning it into a global club staple. Across albums like Reverence, Sunday 8PM and Outrospective, Faithless balanced massive festival-sized hits with introspective tracks exploring faith, struggle and the world’s political climate. They remained a dominant live force for decades, known for turning electronic music into something communal and cathartic.
Following Maxi Jazz’s passing in 2022, Faithless’ legacy endures as one of dance music’s most thoughtful and emotionally resonant acts.
