One of New Zealand’s fiercest rock exports, The Datsuns, are bringing their brand of sleazy garage rock to Australia in 2026.
Their Aussie shows promise to be filled with savage hooks, honed to perfection, delivering the sound they are world renowned for.
Kicking off at The Gov in Adelaide on March 25th, 2026, the band will then make their way to Brisbane’s Crowbar on March 26th, Sydney’s Crowbar on March 27th, and Melbourne’s Croxton on March 28th.
Fans can expect the full sweep of The Datsuns’ catalogue, from the anthems that scorched their early path to the first sparks of their eighth studio album, set to arrive in 2026.
Leading the charge for their 2026 record, the single “Ugly Leather” tears in with jagged riffs, and unrelenting fire. It’s old energy with new fuel, resulting in the same unstoppable inferno.
The Datsuns debuted in 2002 with a self-titled record, topping the NZ charts. This hurled them onto stages with Metallica, The White Stripes, and Queens of the Stone Age. Over the past two decades, they’ve released seven albums, worked with Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones, and remain an absolutely potent live act.

The Aussie runs will see Scandinavian drummer Adam Lindmark drive the beast forward, locking in with Dolf de Borst on bass. Upfront lead string wrangler and vocalist, Christian Livingstone, and rhythmic meister Phil Somervell, will bring a stack of raw, unfiltered and oh so good riffage.
