South Summit performed a laid-back Rolling Stone AU/NZ In My Room session ahead of a short but sweet Australian tour.
One of Perth’s most exciting bands are crossing the country for two exclusive headline shows this November, their only headline performances for the rest of the year.
They’ll play 170 Russell on Thursday, November 14th, quickly followed by a show at Sydney’s Factory Theatre on Friday, November 15th (see full details below).
The shows follow the release of South Summit’s recent single “TOP OF THE HILL”, which clocked their highest-ever first-week streams as well as playlist additions on Spotify and Apple Music.
Recorded at Blackbird Studios and produced by David Parkin (Old Mervs, Great Gable), “TOP OF THE HILL” was the fist taste of new music from the five-piece since their acclaimed debut album, The Bliss.
“‘TOP OF THE HILL’ is about being yourself and being loved for who you are,” the band shared. “There’s always a place for you in this world. We stumbled across the chords the night of our album launch after a few backyard drinks with friends.
“Even though we’d just released The Bliss, we knew we had something special, so we kept the spark alive and picked it back up a few months later with Marlon from Six60 in Sydney — our first time writing with another artist.

“That fresh perspective took it somewhere new, and Parko brought it all together in the final recording.”
South Summit have quickly built up a loyal following thanks to their energetic live shows and genre-hopping mixture of rock, reggae, and indie sounds.
