Don’t expect to hear about Pusha T and Kanye West reconnecting anytime soon. In a new Clipse interview with The Guardian on Thursday, Pusha was asked directly if he’d ever consider working with West again. His answer was clear.
“Yeah, that’s in the past,” Pusha told the publication. “That’s definitely in the past.”
The new comment from Pusha aligns with what he’s said of West in the last three years. Speaking to GQ alongside No Malice in June, Pusha spoke about their falling out and Ye’s use of hate speech.
“He knows I don’t think he’s a man. He knows it,” Pusha said at the time, before adding: “And that’s why we can’t build with each other no more. That’s why me and him don’t click, because he knows what I really, really think of him. He’s shown me the weakest sides of him, and he knows how I think of weak people.”
Although not directly about West, the Guardian interviewer followed up in their own interview by asking if they’d be able to let go of beef if one of his “rap enemies ever apologized.”
“I’m not mad at anybody. I’m good. I’m happy,” Pusha said. “But at the same time I don’t know if I necessarily want to work with those people either. I’m cool with how all of this has played out.”
He added: “If I diss someone, it’s a very real thing to me. Like I watch rappers use disses as a gimmick and shit like that, but that ain’t what it is for me.”

After West started spreading antisemitic comments in 2022, Pusha called his actions and statements “very disappointing” in an interview with the Los Angeles Times. Pusha revealed soon after that he was no longer heading West’s record label G.O.O.D. Music after 12 years at the company.
