The US singer-songwriter will be hitting Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane in support of his debut solo album, Second Wind.
Seavey’s last visit to Australia was in November, and it was a major trip: he toured with Dean Lewis, performed a sold-out headline show at The Lansdowne Hotel in Sydney, and surprised fans with an acoustic park performance and pop-up events at record stores. He also attended the Australian premiere of Wicked and serenaded Pesto the Penguin.
Second Wind features the title track along with recent singles “Gateway Drug”, “The Older You Get”, “Other People”, and “If I Ever Get to Heaven.” Seavey collaborated with producer Michael Pollack (Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber) to craft the album, drawing from early 2000s pop-rock influences.
Seavey’s forthcoming Australian tour kicks off on Saturday, June 7th at Metro City in Perth, followed by shows at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre Theatre on Tuesday, June 10th, The Forum in Melbourne on Thursday, June 12th, Enmore Theatre in Sydney on Friday, June 13th, and wraps up at Eatons Hill Hotel in Brisbane on Sunday, June 15th.
Ahead of the tour, Rolling Stone AU/NZ asked Seavey to share his top five favourite things about Australia, which you can check out below.

Daniel Seavey’s Favourite Australian Memories
1. The vibes are particularly jolly all through Australia. I love the jolly-ness of people there.
2. I love the fruit in Australia. it’s so fresh and I didn’t even know fruit could be so sweet. American fruit scares me now, like there’s something really fundamentally wrong with our fruit here…
3. I love the airport staff in Australia. I didn’t know airport staff could actually be such nice people. In America it’s the rarest of sightings to find one airport worker, but in Australia it seems like the opposite.
4. I love the crowds in Australia. Everyone participates. Everyone sings along and shamelessly dances together. it all seems too good to be true honestly.
5. I love how outgoing everyone in Australia is. I’m very outgoing myself so I love all of the conversations I get into there.
