Vanilla Gorilla – “Exhale”

Bungwahl outfit Vanilla Gorilla return after three years with “Exhale”—a reggae-tinged tune with a nice summer groove, all about slowing life down.

Fletcher Kent – “Are You Ready”

The Central Coast singer gears up for Live Nation’s ‘Ones To Watch’ with a tender track about embracing adulthood and all its new experiences.

Cari Cari – “One More Trip Around The Sun”

Dreamy melodies and yearning lyrics set the tone for e4444e’s upcoming fourth album, Authentic Natural Tradition, out May 30 via Dinosaur City Records.

Somber Hills – “Vacancy”

Kiwi-turned-Sydney artist Somber Hills lightens up on “Vacancy”, a breezy summer pop tune featuring Jeida Woods—a nice departure from his heavier guitar-punk roots.

Day1 – “Kingdom”

Brisbane’s Day1 is living his best life, linking up with UK rapper Nafe Smallz for the slick, sun-drenched “Kingdom”, complete with a glossy Mykonos-shot video.

Hachiku – “Fun For Everyone”

Melbourne indie-pop artist Hachiku (Anika Ostendorf) delivers “Fun For Everyone”, a track that’s “a little sexy, a little raunchy”—an ode to crushes, desire, and growing up with queer role models.

Sumner – “Starlight”

Electronic duo Sumner drop a loved-up bop with “Starlight”, leading into their upcoming EP release and headline tour (kicking off Feb 14). The video? A stunning showcase of the Tasmanian wilderness they call home.

Placement – “Inertia / Heavy Lids”

Adelaide post-punk/noise outfit Placement have been busy on the live front, supporting Superchunk, Quicksand, and Party Dozen. Their latest, “Inertia / Heavy Lids”, is packed with smoky rhythms, sax howls, and commanding vocals—a taste of their debut album due later this year.

GUM & Ambrose Kenny-Smith – “Telescope”

Sydney post-punk trio Shady Nasty hit the motorway at full speed with “SCREWDRIVA”—a tense, chopped-up anthem from their debut album TREK (out Feb 21).

Npcede – “Spleen”

“Spleen” oozes swagger, tackling the existential dread of modern life—sleepwalking, scrolling, and indecision. A strong first taste of Naarm’s industrial/shoegaze/rap trio, with their debut self-titled EP dropping in May.

Oliver Cronin – “Maria”

Oliver Cronin shares the deluxe edition of his EP Halfway to Paradise, now retitled Edge of Paradise. New single “Maria” sees him teaming up with Filipino band Lola Amour—and he’s hitting the road for a headline all-ages Australian tour in April.
