Foley‘s second single of 2024 is here.
“Low and High” finds the Auckland pop duo considering a turbulent relationship, one that’s both passionate and tumultuous, with intensely relatable songwriting. (Foley explored similar thematic territory on their 2023 single “Tongue”, which took a playful look at surface level relationships.)
“You got me in the mood now / Fighting with you / Acting like we’re fools / You push my button too hard / I’m over it,” they sing, but the tumultuousness really comes to the fore in the chaotic chorus: “Refuse to want anyone but you / You take me / Low and high / Left and right / Refuse to want anyone but you / You take me / Low and high / Every time.”
“Low and High” is the second release by Foley since their debut album, Crowd Pleaser, was one of the highlights of Aotearoa music last year.
Crowd Pleaser attracted positive reviews upon its release, including from Rolling Stone AU/NZ.
