total tommy – “Losing Out”
The Sydney artist’s second single, “Losing Out” has all the emotional intensity of artists like Soccer Mommy, demanding the listener’s attention. The fuzzed-up track bottles up the crushing aftermath of betrayal, with whispery, half-sung vocals, a robust beat and low, twangy riff. As the chorus declares, “You can’t tell everyone that you’re losing out, don’t play like it was just a mistake,” new layers of guitars and thrashing drums blast in to underscore the rejection of half-hearted apologies.
Carla Wehbe – “Sideshow”
The Sydney singer-songwriter delivers a knockout guitar-driven ballad “about the circus of breakups.” “Sideshow” follows last year’s “You Make Me Sick” which kicked off an exciting new music chapter for Wehbe, currently opening up the Peach PRC shows.
CODY JON – “Sabrina”
The Australian pop star on the rise has released his sparkling new EP, Death Wobbles, packed with vibrant, energetic tracks, and lyrics that tap deep into emotions. “Sabrina” is an instant standout with its lustful R&B tones, as well as a late night music video shot in New York City.
Chanel Loren – “Zone”
The Sydney-based R&B star gets confessional about modern dating on this alluring new single, flaunting flair with its restrained production and fluttering vocals. Following a string of attention-grabbing singles, Loren is proving to be one to watch.
Ziggy Alberts – “New Love”
An upbeat folk song with a lively foot-stomping rhythm that just begs you to get up and dance. Perfectly tailored for the crowds on the Aussie songwriter’s upcoming world tour.
DICE – “Quick to Judge”
The Aussie indie rockers have nailed it again with their latest song, “Quick to Judge”. It’s got a more intimate feel compared to their usual sound, and with its powerful, arena-ready chorus, it’s set to be a hit on their upcoming tour (their biggest yet), starting at the month’s end.
Mia Wray – “What If”
The Melbourne musician dreams big on this soaring new song, about going for what you want in life. “I had really big feelings for someone, and I couldn’t stop worrying about what would happen if I told them how I felt. ‘What If’ is almost like a pros and cons list, but in song form. In the end, the positives ended up outweighing the negatives and I went for it.”
Missy Higgins – “The Second Act”
The iconic singer-songwriter has announced her first full-length studio album in six years, The Second Act, arriving with the title track, which Higgins says is about “picking yourself up, dusting yourself off and heading out into the world.”
Dirty Three – “Love changes everything”
Lastly, the mighty return of Dirty Three! The instrumental trio, featuring Warren Ellis of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds on viola, Mick Turner on guitar, and Jim White on drums, announced their first album in 12 years, Love Changes Everything, and shared its rousing title track.
