Six60 are bringing their iconic Castle St House to Eden Park, and you and three friends could join them at an advanced listening session from the venue.
Six60 announced their forthcoming fourth studio album, Castle St, last month, with the album taking its name from the Dunedin street where some of the band lived during their foundational university years. The album is scheduled for release on Friday, October 7th, and can be pre-ordered here.
Earlier this week, Six60 revealed that they were bringing a replica of the Castle St House to Eden Park in Auckland, also announcing two special advanced listening sessions on Sunday, October 2nd.
The free tickets for the two sessions were unsurprisingly snapped up quickly, but you can still join the waiting list here.
If you still want to join the band to listen to their new album in full before it’s released, Six60 have also announced a special competition: “We want to fly you + three mates to Auckland to join us at an advanced album listening session from the Castle St House at Eden Park,” they wrote on social media.
The prize includes the following:
Return flights for 4x fans to come to Auckland to be a part of the listening session on Sunday 2nd October
One night’s accommodation
Auckland airport transfers
The competition is open to New Zealand residents only (aged 18 and over), and closes on Wednesday, September 28h a 11:59pm. The winner will be drawn and contacted the following day, and if the winner is unreachable by 5pm, the competition will be redrawn.
After the release of Castle St next week, Six60 will embark on a New Zealand tour over the following few months, with stellar special guests including Tones and I, Drax Project, and Lime Cordiale.
Last month saw the band win Best Single for their hit “Pepeha” at the inaugural Panhead Rolling Stone New Zealand Awards, seeing off strong competition from the likes of Lorde (“Solar Power”) and BROODS (“I Keep”).
