Fresh from the release of their first song of the year last week, Byron rockers Skegss have announced a four-night residency as part of the “Under the Thunder” Black Tie World Tour.
Announced on triple j earlier this morning, Skegss are set to go formal next week, with a run of limited-capacity shows taking place from the Brunswick Picture House in Brunswick Heads, New South Wales.
Kicking off on Wednesday, July 8th, the upcoming shows will see Skegss performing across four consecutive nights, with the shows set to take on the full appearance of a black tie affair.
With the audience being asked to attend in formal attire (a press release for the event specifically notes “no suit, no entry”) and seated at socially-distanced theatre-style round tables, the shows are also set to feature a night full of entertainment that will likely never again occur at a Skegss concert, including the likes of a magician, cheese platters, and limited edition merchandise.
Supported by Adam Newling at all shows, the performances on Friday, July 10th and Saturday, July 11th will be live-streamed to an international audience via Veeps, allowing everyone to witness the exhilarating spectacle that is a black tie Skegss concert.
Tickets to these shows are strictly limited with 50 “inside” and 50 “outside” tickets available, and fans wishing to attend are urged to sign up to the Skegss mailing list to have the chance to secure access.
These shows come just one week after the release of Skegss’ first single of 2020, with “Under the Thunder” serving as a reminder for listeners to sit back and enjoy “the rollercoaster of life”.
