Amy Shark is heading back to Aotearoa New Zealand for a special one-off show next month.
The Australian singer-songwriter will take to the stage at Auckland’s Tuning Fork on Sunday, November 15th, marking her only New Zealand performance of 2026. The intimate show will see Shark perform songs spanning her decade-long career, from her breakthrough single “Adore” to newer material from her latest album, including current single “Movies”.
Tickets will go on sale at 10am (local) on Wednesday, October 28th, via Live Nation. See here for details.
Shark has built a strong following in New Zealand since making her live debut in the country in 2017, returning for several tours and performing across Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and beyond.
The announcement follows the release of her fourth studio album, Soft Pop, in July, which topped the ARIA Australian Albums Chart. Written entirely by Shark without co-writers or collaborations, the record marks a return to the personal songwriting approach that first brought her widespread attention with “Adore” in 2016. The album was preceded by a string of singles, including “The Biggest Dick”, “Our Last Fight”, “Child of Divorce”, “It’s Kinda Hot” and “Movies”, and marked her first new music in almost two years.
Appearing on the Rolling Stone Uncut podcast earlier this year, Shark said she believes Soft Pop is her strongest album yet.

“No one had even heard the album, and I’m like, this is the best album I’ve ever written. I know that,” she said. “And I’ve hit a stage where I know how bad it can be to rely on outcomes, so I’ve just let go of it, and I know that I love this record, I’ve loved promoting it, I love the look of it, I love everything about it, and that’s kind of all I needed. The rest is a bonus.”
Since breaking through with “Adore”, Shark has become one of Australia’s most successful contemporary pop artists, releasing four chart-topping Australian albums and collecting multiple ARIA Awards. Her debut album, Love Monster, took home four awards in 2018, including Album of the Year, while subsequent releases Cry Forever and Sunday Sadness continued her chart success.
