Bruno Mars has added a new date to his upcoming Australia stadium tour due to overwhelming demand in the presales.

The US superstar will now play a second date at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium, scheduled for Monday, March 1st, and a third show at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on Tuesday, February 23rd. Presale tickets for the new shows are on sale now.

The new show comes just days after Mars announced the Australian and New Zealand leg of ‘The Romantic Tour’, which will bring him to stadiums across Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Auckland in February and March next year.

Two-time Grammy winner Tyla will join Mars as special guest across all Australian and New Zealand dates, while his Silk Sonic collaborator Anderson .Paak will appear as DJ Pee .Wee. The shows will also feature a special performance from Silk Sonic.

The local dates arrive amid enormous demand for ‘The Romantic Tour’ globally. According to Live Nation, the tour recorded the company’s largest single-day ticket sales across North America, Europe and the UK, while Ticketmaster sold 2.1 million tickets in a single day.

The tour supports Mars’ fourth solo album, The Romantic, which became the biggest album debut of his career and his first release to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

The record features “I Just Might”, which became Mars’ tenth US No. 1 single and his first to debut at the top of the chart, alongside “Risk It All”, which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Streaming Songs charts.

Mars has spent recent years on an extensive international touring run. In 2024, he became the first international artist

of the 21st century to play seven consecutive sold-out concerts at Tokyo Dome, before performing 14 sold-out stadium shows across five Brazilian cities later that year. He also opened Los Angeles’ Intuit Dome with two sold-out performances, including a surprise appearance from Lady Gaga for the first live performance of their hit collaboration “Die with a Smile”.

Mars last toured Australia in 2022, playing two shows at Sydney’s then-new Allianz Stadium.
