Peking Duk’s Adam Hyde, aka Keli Holiday, has made rare ARIA history after the dance heavyweights scored this week’s Australian No. 1 album.
The local duo’s debut album, Paradise, has not only topped the Australian list, but also hit No. 6 on the main Albums chart. Their Reprisal EP peaked at No. 12 in 2018.
Per Holiday, he is the second Australian artist in history to have two No. 1 local albums in the same year with different projects after his solo debut album, Capital Fiction cracked the top spot back in February.
“I’m beyond grateful for my brother @pekingduk and all the support from YOU reading this,” he said on Friday. “I love you.”

Phoebe Bridgers took out the No. 1 spot on the main Albums chart with her third album, Lost Weekend. Her second album, Punisher, reached No. 12 in 2020 and she hit No. 3 as part of Boygenius in 2023 with the record.
Other debuts in the top 40 this week include Jungle’s Sunshine (No. 9), Kate Miller-Heidke’s The Kiss and the Abyss (No. 11), Phil Jamieson’s 10Charlie (No. 18), Grace Cummings’ Bloodhorse! (No. 23), King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard’s Alien Metal (No. 26) and The Hard-Ons’ Hard-Ons/Jerry A (No. 35).

The Singles chart has a new No. 1 entry for the first time in weeks, with KATSEYE’s “Animal” jumping ahead of Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas”,” which held onto a 10-week reign.
