South Park returned for its 27th season earlier this week and made waves for depicting President Donald Trump with a “teeny tiny” penis. During an appearance at Comic-Con yesterday, creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone responded to the immense reaction to the episode.
“We’re terribly sorry,” Parker joked when asked if they had been following the response. The creators refused to elaborate, but did explain that much of the episode came together only three days before it aired. “We were like, ‘I don’t know if people are going to like this,’” Parker explained (via Deadline). “We were reading stuff in the newspaper, and were like, ‘Let’s put that in there!’”
The episode — titled “Sermon on the ‘Mount” — took a jab at Trump’s obsession with using lawsuits to silence media and political opponents, ChatGPT, the injection of religion into America’s public schools, government censorship, and corporations caving to pressure. In one scene, the president is depicted laying naked in bed with a poorly endowed penis trying to seduce Satan, as the series regular tells Trump, “I can’t even see anything, it’s so small.”
Parker told the audience at Comic-Con that most of the notes from Paramount involved Trump’s penis, which was depicted both in the animated scene with Satan and in a deep-fake PSA with a nude Trump.
“They were like, ‘We’re gonna blur the penis,’ and we’re like, ‘No, you’re not gonna blur the penis,’” Parker revealed. Stone added, “If we put eyes on the penis, we won’t blur it. That was a whole conversation with grown up people for four fucking days! It’s a character.”
The moderator quipped that Parker and Stone likely have a subpoena coming their way. “It’s fine, man — I’m ready,” Parker replied.
The duo added that they don’t know yet how the new season will unfold. Parker said they have never “banked” a bunch of shows for later and the promo they released ahead of the premiere was put together to appease the network. “We’re not doing any of that,” he said. Stone quipped that future will episodes will have “no politics.” “None,” he said smiling. “None of that shit.”

The season premiere of South Park came less than a day the creators reached a reported $1.5 billion deal with Paramount Plus. “We are grateful for this opportunity and deeply honored by the trust placed in us. This is about more than a contract — it’s about our commitment to this organization, our teammates, and our fans,” Parker said in a statement. “We’re focused on building something special and doing whatever it takes to bring championships to this city.”
The White House responded to the episode yesterday, with Trump White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers telling Rolling Stone, “The Left’s hypocrisy truly has no end — for years they have come after South Park for what they labeled as ‘offense’ [sic] content, but suddenly they are praising the show. Just like the creators of South Park, the Left has no authentic or original content, which is why their popularity continues to hit record lows. This show hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention. President Trump has delivered on more promises in just six months than any other president in our country’s history — and no fourth-rate show can derail President Trump’s hot streak.”
