The creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, have once again pushed the boundaries of animated television with their latest episode, “Sermon on the ‘Mount”.

Per Variety, appearing at Comic-Con in San Diego just a day after the episode aired, Parker and Stone revealed that they refused to blur an animated depiction of Trump’s genitals, a choice that led to a tense standoff with Comedy Central.

Parker said: “It’s always like, ‘so we love the episode,’ but that’s what happened. They’re like, ‘OK, but we’re gonna blur the penis.’ And I’m like, ‘No, you’re not gonna blur the penis.’”

Stone added: “We put eyes on the penis.”

Parker noted that he told the network “if we put eyes on the penis, we won’t blur it. And then that was a whole conversation for about four fucking days. It’s a character.”

The episode controversy didn’t stop there. It also featured Trump in a compromising position, begging for sex from Satan, and included a Deepfake-assisted clip that humorously exaggerated Trump’s persona. The White House, was not amused, dismissing the show as irrelevant.

“The Left’s hypocrisy truly has no end — for years they have come after South Park for what they labeled as ‘offense’ [sic] content, but suddenly they are praising the show,” Trump White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers told Rolling Stone in a statement.

“Just like the creators of South Park, the Left has no authentic or original content, which is why their popularity continues to hit record lows. This show hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention. President Trump has delivered on more promises in just six months than any other president in our country’s history — and no fourth-rate show can derail President Trump’s hot streak.”

Despite the controversy, South Park remains a valuable asset for Paramount, which recently secured a lucrative five-year deal with Parker and Stone. This agreement, reportedly worth $1.5 billion, includes the production of 50 new episodes and the availability of all seasons on Paramount+.
