The first trailer for Australian thriller Last Seen has arrived, starring Patrick Brammall as a police detective who refuses to give up the search for his missing daughter.
Apple TV unveiled the first look at the new series on Wednesday, ahead of its global premiere on September 9th. Set and filmed entirely in Victoria, Last Seen follows Ridley 11 years after his young daughter Maggie vanished. Now working as a police dispatcher, he has never given up hope that she might still be alive.
That belief is reignited when he receives a distress call from a teenage girl he becomes convinced is Maggie, setting him on a desperate search to find her and reunite his family.
The six-part thriller is adapted by writer and executive producer Kris Mrksa from Ryan David Jahn’s CWA John Creasey Dagger Award-winning novel The Dispatcher, with Emmy-nominated filmmaker Christian Schwochow directing and executive producing.

Brammall, best known for co-creating and starring in Colin from Accounts, leads an Australian and international ensemble cast that includes Maxine Peake (Say Nothing, Black Mirror), Brendan Cowell (Dune: Prophecy, Plum), Daniel Henshall (Mickey 17, How to Make Gravy), Zahra Newman (Thirteen Lives, Addition), Jessica Wren (Mr. Inbetween, Devil’s Playground) and Tobias Muhafidin (Bali 2002). Newcomer Chloe Jean Lourdes also makes her screen debut in the series.
Last Seen is produced by 60Forty Films, with Jamie Laurenson and Hakan Kousetta serving as executive producers. Schwochow and Mrksa also executive produce alongside Joanna Werner of Werner Film Productions, whose credits include The Newsreader, Riot and Clickbait.

The project adds another Australian production to Apple TV’s growing local slate and marks Brammall’s latest screen role following the success of Colin from Accounts and The Devil Wears Prada 2.
The first two episodes of Last Seen will premiere globally on Apple TV on Wednesday, September 9th, followed by one new episode each Wednesday through October 7th.
