Fresh off his commentary about Donald Trump‘s State of the Union address, Jimmy Kimmel took aim at missing Jeffrey Epstein files that are reportedly related to the president.

On Wednesday night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host focused on the revelation that the Justice Department withheld 53 pages of FBI material said to focus on allegations against Trump. NPR reported that the pages include interviews and notes from conversations with a woman who accused Trump of sexual abuse several decades ago when she was a minor.

“I know, I’m as shocked as you,” Kimmel noted. “I thought he got rid of NPR.”

He continued, “The woman said she was 13 when she met Trump. The FBI interviewed her four times in 2019. The details of those interviews are, for reasons that still haven’t been explained, unavailable.”

Kimmel explained that Democrats on the House Oversight Committee saw the documents and confirmed their existence. “Why are they being allowed to hide this stuff?” he asked. “They’re supposed to release the files. What a bunch of hypocrites these people are. If these interviews were on Hunter Biden’s laptop, we’d know every word of them.”

He added that the public should be told if Trump took part in the crimes committed by Epstein. “The reason we don’t know is because the people who work for the president blacked out his name a bunch of times and made interviews disappear,” Kimmel said. “Seems to me the best thing for President Trump, who I’m sure did nothing wrong, is to order them to unredact his name and release all of the Trump-Epstein files so he can prove how unbelievably innocent he is.”

On The Late Show, Stephen Colbert similarly targeted the missing files. “That the files are missing should be the biggest story in the world,” the host said. “It’s totally on brand for the DOJ, especially this DOJ, to be protecting Trump.”
