The talent behind the big bad of Stranger Things, Jamie Campbell Bower, has been confirmed to be visiting Australian shores this year, with guest appearances confirmed as a superstar guest for Supanova Comic Con & Gaming 2026 in the Gold Coast and Melbourne.

Bower, best known for his chilling portrayal of Vecna in the final two seasons of Netflix’s Emmy Award–winning series, will make his first-ever appearance at the Australian pop culture convention, attending Supanova’s Gold Coast show on April 11th–12th, followed by Melbourne on April 18th-19th.

The announcement landed just ahead of the finale of the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, which premiered on New Year’s Day for Australian audiences. Bower’s performance as Vecna — named after the iconic Dungeons & Dragons character — has quickly become one of the show’s most talked-about, earning him Critics Choice and MTV nominations for Best Villain.

Beyond Stranger Things, Bower’s screen credits span major franchises including Twilight, Harry Potter, The Mortal Instruments, and Tim Burton’s Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

He joins an already stacked Supanova 2026 lineup, which includes Denise Richards, Harry Potter actor Bonnie Wright, original Ghostbusters star Ernie Hudson, Tulsa King stars Frank Grillo and Garrett Hedlund, Buffy the Vampire Slayer favourite James Marsters, and Critical Role actor Robbie Daymond.

Supanova has also expanded its comics and illustration roster, with international artists Adi Granov and Humberto Ramos joined by Jon Sommariva (Neverlanders), David Yardin (Venom), Mark Raats (Star Wars), Daniel Picciotto (Miles Morales: Spider-Man), Austen Mengler (Execution), Anthony Christou (Luminous Ages), Scott Wilson and Wolfgang Bylsma from Comics on Country, and COMICS2MOVIES founder Shaun Keenan.

Day passes, weekend tickets and limited Supa-Q and VIP Supa-Star passes are on sale now for both events. Autograph and photograph tokens will be released closer to April, 2026.
