Australian actor Sam Worthington has another global hit on his hands.
The Perth-born star is front and centre in I Will Find You, the latest adaptation of a novel by bestselling thriller writer Harlan Coben, which has quickly become Netflix’s biggest new series debut of 2026.
The limited series premiered on June 18th and surged to the top of the streamer’s global charts with 24 million views in just four days, outperforming every other new show released by the platform this year, per Variety.
In it, Worthington plays David Burroughs, a father serving a life sentence for the murder of his young son. His world is turned upside down when evidence emerges suggesting the boy may still be alive, forcing him into a desperate search for the truth.
The series marks another major streaming success for Worthington, whose career began in Australia with films such as Somersault, Rogue and Gettin’ Square before he became a global star through the Avatar franchise.
Based on Coben’s 2023 novel of the same name, I Will Find You also stars Britt Lower, Milo Ventimiglia, Logan Browning and Chi McBride. It is part of Coben’s creative partnership with Netflix, which is home to 13 adaptations of his books and the forthcoming Myron Bolitar TV show. Coben’s latest adaptation, Run Away, spent four weeks on the global top 10 chart and earned 38 million views in that time frame.
I Will Find You is notable as the first of Coben’s Netflix adaptations to be set in the US after a long run of UK-based productions.
