The White Lotus, Severance, and The Studio will duke it out at the 2025 Emmy Awards, with all three shows receiving more than 20 nominations each this year.

Severance led all programs with 27 nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series and acting looks for stars Adam Scott, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, Tramell Tillman, John Turturro, and Patricia Arquette.

The White Lotus, meanwhile, trailed just behind Severance with 23 nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series and a plethora of acting nominations for its stacked cast: Walton Goggins, Jason Isaacs, Sam Rockwell, Carrie Coon, Parker Posey, Natasha Rothwell, and Aimee Lou Wood (all of whom are notably nominated in the Supporting Actor and Actress categories.)

Alongside Severance and The White Lotus, the Outstanding Drama Series competition will feature Andor, The Diplomat, The Last of Us, Paradise, The Pitt, and Slow Horses.

The Pitt, one of this year’s biggest breakout shows, enjoyed an impressive haul with 13 nominations, including acting nods for Noah Wyle and Katherine LaNasa. And The Last of Us scored 16 nominations, with Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey up for Outstanding Lead Actor and Actress, respectively.

Meanwhile, in Comedy, Seth Rogen’s The Studio picked up an impressive 23 nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series, where it’ll go up against past winners Hacks and The Bear, as well as Only Murders In the Building, Shrinking, Nobody Wants This, and What We Do In the Shadows.

Rogen notched an Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series nomination, too, while his co-stars Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz, and Catherine O’Hara received nominations as well. (The Studio also cleaned up in the Guest Actor for a Comedy Series category, taking four of the five slots, including a first-ever acting nomination for Martin Scorsese, who played himself.)

(Edebiri is also nominated for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series for helming the episode, “Napkins.”)

The pack-leader in the Limited or Anthology Series category this year was The Penguin, which scored an impressive 24 nominations, including looks for Colin Farrell, Cristin Milioti, and Deirdre O’Connell. In Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, The Penguin will compete against Adolescence, Black Mirror, Dying for Sex, and Monsters: The Lyle And Erik Menendez Story.
