A World-Exclusive Yungblud Photo Gallery Is Coming to Sydney In January

Yungblud is the shining, sweaty star of this four-day exhibition by legendary rock photographer Tom Pallant, coming to Sydney’s Inner West.

Yungblud has placed an irreversible, electrifying mark on modern music. The British rocker is coming to Australia next year, to our delight, but there’s another way we’ll be able to get up close and personal with his energy and career — Yungblud: IDOLS, a world exclusive gallery.

Coming for a four-day stay in Sydney ahead of the Doncaster-born rocker’s Sydney show, the gallery is from Behind The Gallery and photographer Tom Pallant, showcasing an intimate look into the last 18 months of his career in black and white photos.

Mixing personal moments with pivotal scenes, Pallant has captured an evolution, frame by frame, of one of the most influential figures of modern alt-rock. The work is officially endorsed by Yungblud, who considers Pallant a creative collaborator, not just a go-to photographer.

Discussing the debut of the gallery, Pallant said,“Being able to showcase the IDOLS world physically for the first time is really special—especially in Australia, where fans have been some of the most supportive since Yungblud’s inception”.

Pallant added “This collection has taken shape over the last 18 months throughout the recording and writing process, the initial release, and the first shows where these songs were played live. Stepping into the IDOLS world has been an incredible experience. Building it from the ground up has been deeply rewarding, and we’re so excited to finally share these images, some of which will be seen for the first time.”

The gallery comes together with the support of Behind The Gallery, music photography specialists who aim to elevate contemporary music with gallery-grade visual storytelling. Stephen Dallimore, Creative Director at Behind The Gallery, said “Tom Pallant’s photography uniquely captures the raw emotional and electric energy of Yungblud…It’s very rare that one photographer can tell an artist’s story like Tom can with Yungblud”.
