With mere weeks to go until the return of Wollongong’s Yours & Owls festival, organisers have revealed that the forthcoming festival has received a slight date change.
Originally set to take place across the weekend of January 23rd and 24th, a statement from organisers today brought with it the news that the festival has now been pushed back to the weekend of April 17th and 18th.
“To spare you from the arduous details, the short story is, we want to deliver the festival to you all in the closest form possible that you are used to from us,” the statement read.
“With January now on our doorstep and so many regulations still up in the air, we have decided to move to April to give us a more concrete opportunity to achieve that and ensure you all have time to sort your travel and accom logistics.”
The festival announced its 2021 lineup in mid-July, having originally revealed that its 2020 event would not be taking place in October as originally planned. The new date served as more of a postponement than a cancellation of the previously-planned festival, with the likes of Tones And I, BENEE, DMA’S, and Lime Cordiale all appearing on the lineup.
While tickets to Yours & Owls are currently sold out, organisers remind ticketholders that if they’re unable to make the rescheduled dates, they’re welcome to apply for a refund any time within the next fortnight. Ticket resale facilities are also available via Moshtix & Festicket
