Days before their latest run of Australian shows were set to kick off, US outfit the Violent Femmes have revealed their upcoming dates will now take place later in the year.
No strangers to our shores, Violent Femmes were set to begin their first Australian tour in three years this week, performing in support of their latest album, Hotel Last Resort. However, Sunday saw the band reveal that their upcoming dates would instead be rescheduled in light of the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic.
Announced today, the group’s Australian tour will now take place between November and December, beginning with a Sydney show on November 19th.
While the vast majority of the shows remain the same, the band’s Queensland show has seen the addition of the Sunnyboys, while their show in Hobart has sadly fallen by the wayside. However, the band note that more dates are yet to be announced, so it’s unlikely that they’ll completely overlook a visit to bassist Brian Ritchie’s adopted home.
All tickets to the band’s upcoming tour are valid for their rescheduled shows, though ticketholders are advised to contact their outlet for any further details.
