Vanilla Ice’s performance at the ill-fated Freedom 250 concert was cancelled Friday due to “inclement weather” in the Washington, D.C. area.

The “Ice Ice Baby” rapper was among the last artists standing at the Trump-backed “Great American State Fair” after the majority of the lineup — including Morris Day, Martina McBride, Young MC, Bret Michaels, and more — all dropped out.

Vanilla Ice defended his decision to remain a part of the Freedom 250, saying, “I’m here to party with America, man… I don’t think it should be about any political thing or anything like that. I don’t even vote, so I don’t even care.” The rapper added, “I’ll go play for Putin and I’ll play in Iran if you want. It don’t matter. There’s fans everywhere. Music is not political, man. It’s universal.”

Alas, Vanilla Ice played for no one Friday after weather scrapped his Freedom 250 concert just two hours before his performance.

“Due to inclement weather in the area, the Freedom 250 Great American State Fair and FIFA World Cup 2026 Fan Zone will be closed for the rest of the day — Friday, June 26, 2026,” organizers said on social media.

“The safety of our guests, staff, and partners remains our top priority. We are actively monitoring conditions and will provide updates as they become available.”

While the Great American State Fair reopened Saturday, Vanilla Ice’s performance was not rescheduled, as the U.S. Army jazz band ensemble will take the main stage instead.
