It started with a cat and a passport. Now it’s official: Two Door Cinema Club are heading back to Australia.

After teasing fans earlier this week with a cryptic social media post hinting at a return Down Under, the Northern Irish trio have confirmed a full Australian and New Zealand headline tour for November 2026, celebrating the 15th anniversary of their breakout debut, Tourist History.

The run will see the band perform the 2010 album in full, alongside a set of greatest hits, bringing one of the defining indie records of the 2010s back to the stage in its entirety. Joining them on the tour are UK indie favourites The Vaccines, who will also mark 15 years of their own debut, What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?, making the shows a double hit of era-defining guitar music.

Released at the height of the indie-dance boom, Tourist History introduced Two Door Cinema Club’s sharp, propulsive sound to the world, powered by tracks like “What You Know”, “Undercover Martyn”, and “Something Good Can Work”. While the album only reached No. 44 on the ARIA Albums Chart, its legacy in Australia runs far deeper — buoyed by heavy triple j rotation and festival appearances including Laneway, it became a staple soundtrack for a generation of late-night dancefloors and road trips.

Fifteen years on, those songs haven’t lost their grip. “What You Know” alone has racked up more than a billion streams on Spotify, a testament to the album’s enduring reach well beyond its initial release.

The upcoming Australasian dates follow the band’s recently announced North American anniversary run, which kicks off in September, and will see them revisit the record across major venues and festival stages globally — including shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

For Australian fans, the tour also marks a relatively quick return. Two Door Cinema Club were last here in 2024 for a co-headline run with Declan McKenna, playing a string of sold-out shows across Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Wollongong, the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, and Newcastle.

“We have some incredible memories of time spent in Oz and NZ and we can’t wait to get back for some really big shows,” the band said in a statement. “I don’t know what it is about the southern hemisphere but you guys just know how it’s done.”

This time around, they’re scaling things up. The 2026 tour will hit major venues across the country, including Melbourne’s John Cain Arena, Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion, and Brisbane’s Riverstage, before wrapping in Auckland.
