The global K-pop movement has well and truly hit Australia, with TWICE’s current tour officially breaking the record for the best-selling K-pop tour in Oceania.
According to Live Nation, ticket sales (over 50,000 sold across Sydney and Melbourne) have soared past all previous benchmarks for K-pop acts in the region, underscoring just how powerful TWICE’s connection is with their Australian fanbase.
The record-breaking milestone marks another huge moment for TWICE, who continue to raise the bar for K-pop worldwide. The group’s ‘This is For’ world tour is their sixth global run, arriving hot on the heels of their history-making ‘Ready to Be’ tour, which drew 1.5 million fans across 51 shows in 27 cities.
The tour kicked off in Sydney this past weekend, lighting up Qudos Bank Arena for two spectacular nights. They’ll perform at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena this coming weekend (November 8th and 9th).
This time around, TWICE are stepping it up with a 360-degree stage that turns every seat into the best in the house. The setup brings fans right into the heart of the action, making the whole arena feel like part of the performance.

In an Australian exclusive, group member Sana told Rolling Stone AU/NZ: “This is our first time doing a tour with a 360° stage, which allows us to see ONCE [the name given to TWICE’s fanbase] from every direction and make eye contact no matter where they are. With this setup, ONCE can also enjoy our solo performances in a more lively and immersive way.”
Jihyo added: “I hope our Australian fans can truly feel how grateful we are for their love and support. Over the past ten years, we’ve been deeply moved by ONCEs who have supported us from far away, and through this tour, we want them to feel just how thankful we are.”
The record-breaking Oceania run is just the beginning for TWICE, who continue to raise the bar for global pop. Fresh from their standout performance at the 2025 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, the group will take their ‘This is For’ tour across Asia, North America and Europe throughout the remainder of 2025 and into 2026, cementing their status as one of the world’s most influential pop acts.
Live Nation Australasia promoter Wenona Lok said: “The response to TWICE’s ‘This is For’ tour has been incredible. To see this level of excitement from fans right across Australia really speaks to TWICE’s impact and how far K-Pop has come here. This tour is shaping up to be one of the most spectacular high-production live experiences we’ve seen on these shores.”
