To celebrate the tenth anniversary of his seminal debut album Blue Neighbourhood, Troye Sivan has announced a limited-edition reissue, arriving in February 2026.
The anniversary edition, Blue Neighbourhood – Ten Years On, comes with a newly reimagined illustrated cover by original artist Hsiao-Ron Cheng and a collector-friendly lineup of formats, including blush-pink and pale-blue vinyl, CD and cassette, as well as an exclusive poster.
Fans will also get two tracks that were central to Troye’s early career, but absent from the original LP: the slow-blooming favourite “Strawberries & Cigarettes”, first released on the Love, Simon (2018) soundtrack, and “Swimming Pools”, previously locked away on a retail-exclusive physical edition.
When Blue Neighbourhood first landed in 2015, it cut through the noise of mid-2010s pop with a diaristic, synth-soaked tenderness that felt both fragile and fearless.
Singles like “Wild”, “Fools”, and “Talk Me Down” sketched out the world of Troye’s adolescence – suburban heartbreak, queer longing, and the terrors and thrills of growing up online – and the accompanying short-film trilogy turned the album into something even bigger: a coming-of-age narrative that resonated globally.
The album’s breakout hit “Youth” has amassed over 700 million streams since its release. Embodying the wistful joy of being young and lost, the song holds onto naivety before life gets complicated. It became his first single to enter the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 23, and won him his first ARIA Awards, for Best Video and Song of the Year, cementing his status as one of pop’s most important voices.
Speaking of the album in 2015, Troye said: “It’s all autobiographical. It takes place in both the suburbs of Perth where I’ve grown up, which I consider to be my blue neighbourhood, but then also in this fast-paced, crazy, whirlwind life that I’m now living in hotel rooms and planes. And it takes place inside the mind of a 20-year-old kid. I wanted to make sure that youthfulness was there…”

The record became a breakout moment for Troye, surpassing 6.5 billion global streams. It topped iTunes charts in 66 countries and debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. Blue Neighbourhood has been certified Platinum in Australia, New Zealand, and the US, where several songs are also certified.
Critics called it “prototype for tomorrow’s global pop star”, and its influence can still be felt in the wave of young queer artists who followed.
Blue Neighbourhood – Ten Years On will be released on February 13th, 2026, via Capitol Records. It is now available for preorder here.
