Tim Finn is heading back to Australia this August for three shows, celebrating 40 years of his debut solo album, Escapade.

The New Zealand icon will take the stage with a full live band, performing the Escapade album in full—along with classics from across his career, including Split Enz and Crowded House favorites.

The ‘Plays Escapade’ tour kicks off at Anita’s Theatre, Thirroul, on Friday, August 1st, before moving to Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Saturday, August 2nd, and wrapping up at Sydney’s State Theatre on Saturday, August 9th.

Tickets go on sale at Monday, February 24th at 10am via Ticketmaster. Venue and ticket agency database pre-sales go on sale on Thursday, February 20th at 10am. For full details click here.

“I’m excited to be playing these songs again and looking forward to sharing the moment with audiences in some beautiful old venues,” Finn says.

Originally released in 1983—and recently reissued on colored vinyl—Escapade delivered hits like “Fraction Too Much Friction”, “Made My Day”, and “Staring at the Embers”, plus fan favourites “In a Minor Key” and “Through the Years”.

The album marked a pivotal moment for Finn, stepping out from Split Enz, the band he co-founded in the early ’70s. Escapade went on to win the 1983 Countdown ‘Album of the Year’ award and set the stage for his solo success.

Now, in 2025, Finn is bringing the album back to life for a full-circle moment. And, just as he did back then, he’s assembled a stellar lineup to do it justice.

Joining him as a special guest on all dates is Australian singer-songwriter Jem Cassar-Daley.

A local star, Cassar-Daley was named NIMA New Talent of the Year and QMA Indigenous Artist of the Year in 2022. She’s fresh off winning Best Pop at the 2024 Queensland Music Awards, as well as Song of the Year at the AIR Music Awards for King of Disappointment.
