Thelma Plum has announced she will embark on an acoustic headline tour of Australia later this year.
The ARIA Award-winning songwriter will kick off the run in Bendigo this July before moving on to Horsham, Geelong, Warrnambool, Canberra, Richmond, Avoca Beach, Kalgoorlie, Bunbury, Albany, Bellingen, Eltham, Gold Coast, Eumundi, Devonport and Hobart.
“I actually can’t believe that this is the first time I’ve done an acoustic tour,” Plum said. “When I started out playing shows it was just me and a guitar, but it’s been a long time since I’ve performed like that.
“It’s been a big year, I am working on a new record, and it feels like the perfect time to pack up the songbook and play some intimate shows with my friend Toby and let the songs and the stories behind them breathe! I hope to see you at one of the shows!”
The shows will span Plum’s full career, including cuts from her 2023 record I’m Sorry, Now Say It Back, alongside what Plum coyly describes as “some tunes from the archived set lists” — a breadcrumb trail for devoted fans who know her back catalogue deep.
