Your favourite New York indie rockers are heading back Down Under in 2027.
The Strokes have announced an Australian tour set for February, in support of their recently released seventh studio album Reality Awaits.
They’ll kick the run off at Brisbane’s Entertainment Centre on February 13th, before heading to Melbourne for two shows at Rod Laver Arena on February 16th and 17th. They’ll wrap up the tour with a massive outdoor show at Sydney’s Centennial Park on February 20th.
The Sydney date will also mark the launch of the inaugural Sydney Summertime concert series. They’ll be joined by Beck, Courtney Barnett and Promiseland. Barnett and Promiseland will also support the band in Brisbane and Melbourne.
Tickets for all shows go on sale at 1pm on Tuesday, September 29th, following artist, Mastercard and Vodafone presales from 9am on Monday, September 28th, and Secret Sounds and Live Nation presales at 12pm. All times are local.
The upcoming shows mark The Strokes’ first Australian headline tour since their sold-out 2022 run. They last visited the country in 2025, when they headlined Adelaide’s Harvest Rock festival. Rolling Stone AU/NZ was at the festival, and described the band as “enigmatic, erratic, and utterly brilliant”.
“The band were razor-sharp, ripping through ‘The Adults Are Talking’, ‘Reptilia’, and ‘Last Nite’ with effortless precision. [Julian] Casablancas’ vocals were focused and strong, his charm understated but present,” we wrote in our 4-star festival review.

The tour follows the release of the band’s seventh studio album, Reality Awaits, their first new record since 2020’s The New Abnormal. Recorded in Costa Rica with producer Rick Rubin and completed across several locations around the world, the album features recent singles “Going Shopping” and “Falling Out of Love”.
The Strokes have spent much of 2026 on the road, performing at Coachella and headlining Bonnaroo, Outside Lands and Japan’s Summer Sonic, with further dates across the UK, Europe and South America on their touring schedule.
