This year, after a six year wait between records, The Veronicas released two albums within four weeks of one another. GODZILLA, the duo’s brazen alter-ego baring fourth album preceded HUMAN, which marked a further departure into raw, more vulnerable territory.
Check out our interview with The Veronicas about the two records, how they protect the secret ingredient that started it all, the first song they ever wrote, and more.
Over a 17-year career, twin sisters Jessica and Lisa Origliasso have seamlessly teamed together pop melodies, heart on sleeve lyrics and pop punk sensibilities. The twin sisters’ effortless harmonies and penchant for detailing the scars of love made songs like “Untouched”, “Take Me On The Floor”, and “Hook Me Up” instant classics, paving the way to ARIA and MTV Awards and multiple Platinum certifications.
Now, the pair have highlighted their two difference sides – with GODZILLA focusing on their public alter egos and HUMAN showcasing their existence as vulnerable songwriters. The Veronicas wasted no time in taking the two albums around the country with the GODZILLA v HUMAN Tour. Jess and Lisa will finish up the tour this month when they perform two nights at Forum Melbourne on July 26th and 27th.
