The Rions Confirm 19-Date Australian Regional Tour for Early 2026

After a massive year of touring and a No. 1 ARIA debut album, The Rions have announced a regional Australian tour for February–April 2026

Fresh off a huge Spilt Milk festival run, The Rions have announced a coast-to-coast Australian regional tour for early 2026, locking in 19 dates from February through April.

The tour comes at a moment when the Sydney indie four-piece are clearly levelling up. After spending much of the past few years cutting their teeth in smaller rooms across the country, parts of this upcoming run will see The Rions step into noticeably bigger venues than their last regional tour — a reflection of how quickly their audience has grown over the past 12 months.

It follows a stacked year for the band, who released their long-awaited debut album Everything Every Single Day in October and spent the latter half of 2025 almost constantly on the road. That included a national theatre tour headlined by career-defining, sold-out shows at Melbourne’s Forum and Hobart’s Odeon Theatre, as well as a headline run through the UK and Europe in November.

Since first emerging as high school classmates, there’s been a steady sense of momentum around bandmates Noah Blockley, Harley Wilson, Asher McLean & Tom Partington. Winning triple j Unearthed High in 2021 set the wheels in motion, leading to The Rions’ debut EP Minivan in 2023 and the 2024 release of Happiness In A Place It Shouldn’t Be, which landed at No. 4 on the ARIA Australian Albums Chart. Those years of relentless touring and songwriting laid the groundwork for a genuine breakout in 2025.

That arrival was cemented with Everything Every Single Day, which debuted at No. 1 on the ARIA Australian Albums Chart, hit No. 2 on the Vinyl Chart and cracked the Top 5 overall. Recorded across a year with ARIA Award-winning producer Chris Collins (Ruby Fields, Pacific Avenue, Matt Corby), the album marked a clear step forward sonically: more expansive, more emotionally exposed, but still grounded in the earnest pop-rock instincts that have defined the band so far.

Featuring singles such as “Maybe I’m Just a Freak”, “Shut You Out”, and “Tonight’s Entertainment”, the 13-track collection is “the most open wound we’ve allowed the world to see thus far,” according to the indie rock band.

“All our triumphs, our regrets, our shortcomings, our philosophies, our hopes, and our dreams on a 13-track silver platter,” they shared.

Live, that emotional honesty has translated into some of the most engaged crowds of their career. The band’s ‘Happiness in Places’ regional tour last year took in 21 dates and helped push their 2024 headline ticket tally past 20,000 — no small feat for a group still early in their release cycle. The upcoming regional run builds on that foundation, returning them to familiar towns while also testing their reach in rooms that would’ve felt ambitious not long ago.

Across the tour, The Rions will be joined by a rotating lineup of special guests: Chloe Parché in NSW, Hey So Hungry in WA, Gordon’s Grandson in Victoria, and bella amor across the Queensland dates.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale today, Wednesday, December 17th at 10am local time, with general on-sale following tomorrow, Thursday, December 18th at 9am.
