The performance, the Raconteurs’ first together since December 2019, coincided with the recent announcement that White’s Third Man Records Vault series would next focus on a 20th anniversary edition of Broken Boy Soldiers, including a recording of the band’s first-ever concert on March 20, 2006 as well as nine demos from the era.

The Raconteurs last released their third album Help Me Stranger in 2019, which arrived 11 years after the band’s second album, 2008’s Consolers of the Lonely. It’s unclear whether Saturday’s reunion was a one-off to mark the Broken Boy Soldiers reissue and/or the opening of Nashville’s new the Truth venue, or if the band has larger plans in store.
