The lineup has dropped for The Others Way 2025.
Auckland’s favourite street party will return to take over the Karangahape Road precinct on Saturday, November 29th.
“Tāmaki Makaurau’s favourite scrappy little street party once again lives to fight another day,” the official announcement read a few weeks ago. “And boy oh boy, do we have some big ol’ news coming your way…”
Announced today, the lineup is led by Sharon Van Etten & the Attachment Theory, who are touring in support of their acclaimed self-titled album. One of the best rock musicians of her generation, Van Etten was last on these shores for a show at Auckland’s Civic Theatre.
They’re joined on the bill by The Phoenix Foundation, who’ll perform their recently reissued cult classic album Pegasus (2005) in full; Zambia’s “Zamrock” favourites W.I.T.C.H.; Saya Gray making the journey from Canada for her debut Aotearoa show; and Dunedin-born rockers High Dependency Unit.
There’s also Isla Noon, who recently took part in Rolling Stone AU/NZ‘s On the Record series, Holly Arrowsmith, whose latest album, Blue Dreams, was lauded by us, dub producer master Christoph El Truento, Kiwi indie icons The Bats, 2025 Aotearoa Music Awards nominee RNZŌ, and many more.

In other Others Way news, the festival is shutting down Karangahape Road for the very first time this year.
“Expect the whole dang block between Queen Street and Pitt Street to transform into the party of your dreams, with our main stage landing right near the Rainbow crossing,” a press release states.
Last year’s edition delivered a stacked lineup: Taite Music Prize nominee Erny Belle, psych-pop purveyors Soaked Oats, and indie-rock multi-instrumentalist Ladyhawke all drew packed crowds. From overseas came Parquet Courts frontman A. Savage, indie songwriter Andy Shauf, Aussie jazz fusion group Mildlife, and Dean & Britta performing the dream-pop gems of Galaxie 500.
The Others Way has received rave reviews from us before: “Being able to hear such a variety of acts and genres and styles all playing along Karangahape Road’s precinct over one day is something that should never be taken for granted.”
