On Saturday, October 19th, Sydney’s Tumbalong Park is where you’ll want to be as The Kid LAROI teams up with triple j Unearthed and Blak Out to present Blak Future

This free gig is your chance to see Australia’s rising First Nations artists perform live, presented by LAROI himself. At just 21, LAROI has already become a global sensation, and his success offers a reminder of what’s possible.

Born in Sydney to an Indigenous mother and French father, his journey from local kid to multi-platinum, GRAMMY-nominated artist has been a series of increasingly impressive milestones, including collaborations with Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and Juice WRLD.

Now, he’s returning to Sydney to spotlight the future of First Nations music. Joining LAROI for Blak Future are four other young, local artists: RIAH, Rox Lavi, Yung Brother, and Willy J and The Chaza.

RIAH is a highschool talent with a soulful voice, whose recent accolades include winning the 2024 triple j Unearthed High Indigenous Initiative. Gomeroi artist, Rox Lavi, is turning heads with his fresh, Dominic Fike meets BROCKHAMPTON sound.

Up-and-coming rapper and songwriter, Yung Brother, brings his signature raw energy and truth to his performances, while Gamilaroi duo Willy J and The Chaza combine storytelling with hip-hop beats.

Best of all, Blak Future is free to attend and open to all ages. You can show up, find your spot on the grass, and enjoy the show.

For SXSW badge and wristband holders, The Kid LAROI will also be delivering a keynote to share his story and inspire the next generation of First Nations artists.

Come along to Blak Future for free at Tumbalong Park, Saturday 19 October at 3.30pm to 5pm. Visit SXSW for more info.
