The Human League are coming to Australia and New Zealand.
Following a sold-out tour Down Under in 2024, the synth-pop icons will tour the country in January and February of next year, playing shows in Perth, Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch (see full dates below).
Presented by Destroy All Lines and Metropolis Touring, the band’s ‘Generations: The Greatest Hits Tour’ will bring enduring hits such as “Human”, “Don’t You Want Me”, “Mirror Man”, and many more to Aussie fans.
Tickets to the tour go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 6th at 9am local time. The early bird pre-sale begins on Wednesday, February 4th at 9am local time.
The Sheffield-born band became a global chart sensation in the ’80s, with the Sydney Morning Herald describing them as early as 1982 “one of the first futurist bands.”
“Long before electronic music became mainstream, the band were among the first to successfully use computers and sequencers to create rhythm and melody, redefining modern pop in the process,” a press release states.
“Australian audiences can expect an unforgettable night with the band’s signature stamp in dynamic and dazzling live setting. The timeless songs stand as monuments to the band’s songwriting craft and enduring cultural impact, continuing to resonate across generations of music lovers.”
