The Horrors have announced their return to Australian shores with a comprehensive headline tour scheduled for April 2026, marking their first extensive visit to the country since 2012.
The British band’s Australian tour announcement follows their captivating exclusive appearance at Dark Mofo in Hobart earlier this year, alongside an intimate Live at 3RRR set in Melbourne. These performances represented The Horrors’ first Australian shows in over a decade, when they last appeared at Laneway Festival supporting their third studio album Skying.
The upcoming tour will encompass five major cities across Australia, with The Horrors performing in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth throughout April.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, November 3rd at 9am local time. The pre-sale begins on Friday, October 31st at 9am local time.
The announcement coincides with the release of their brand new album Night Life, described as “a record of weight and space; of melancholy and euphoria.”
Since emerging as garage-goths on their 2007 debut Strange House, The Horrors have consistently evolved their sound across nearly two decades. Their trajectory took a significant shift with Mercury-nominated follow-up Primary Colours, establishing their reputation for genre-defying innovation. The band’s 2011 release Skying claimed the NME Award for Best Album, while V received critical acclaim including a five-star Guardian review.

Night Life represents a deliberate return to the band’s raw, instinctive origins while exploring themes that emerge “under the cover of darkness.”
Wall of Sound praised their recent Dark Mofo performance, noting how The Horrors move “between indie rock, trip-hop, psychedelia, dream-pop, darkwave, shoegaze, and garage punk” while creating “scintillating soundscapes and lustral gothic poetry.”
