The Dandy Warhols are heading back Down Under, announcing an Australia and New Zealand tour for November and December 2026.

The ‘Pin Ups’ Tour will see the Portland alt-rock favourites return to some of their regular haunts across both countries, while also trying something entirely new: an orchestral show with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra in Hobart.

The tour will open at Hobart’s Odeon Theatre on November 24th, where The Dandy Warhols will perform alongside the orchestra for a one-night-only collaboration. It will mark the first time the band have brought their symphony concept to Australia, following two performances with the Oregon Symphony.

From there, they’ll return to their usual live format for shows in Auckland, Wellington, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Fremantle and Melbourne before closing out the run with an appearance at Victoria’s Meredith Festival on December 11th.

“The Oz tour is right around the corner and we are getting very pumped about it,” frontman Courtney Taylor-Taylor said. “This one starts in Tasmania with the Symphony there, that will be a mind expanding trip. Then we hit all our favourite cities, or most of them, including some New Zealand shows.

“Then we end at Meredith festival, which we are told repeatedly is the coolest. There’s going to be a lot of amazing music, food, wine, and even wineries. We have always loved it down under which is why it’s been The Dandy Warhols second home for almost three decades.”

The tour arrives in support of Pin Ups, the band’s covers album released earlier this year.

The record gathers The Dandy Warhols’ interpretations of songs by artists including The Beatles, The Byrds, The Clash, Bob Dylan, The Cure, Gang of Four, The Cramps, The Cult, The Damned and Marilyn Manson.

Rather than being recorded as a single standalone project, Pin Ups draws together material from across the band’s career, including tribute album contributions, bonus tracks, B-sides and previously unreleased recordings.

“Nearly every band we cover on here are friends of ours or artists we have had a meaningful experience with,” Taylor-Taylor said of the collection.

The tour continues a relationship with Australian audiences that dates back to The Dandy Warhols’ first visit in 1998.

Across almost three decades, the band have built a catalogue spanning psych-rock, shoegaze and synth-pop, including enduring tracks such as “Bohemian Like You”, “We Used to Be Friends” and “Not If You Were the Last Junkie on Earth”.
