The Avalanches are hitting the road in Australia next year, with a six-date national tour set for February and March.
The Melbourne-formed electronic favourites will kick off the run with two shows at Perth Festival’s East Perth Power Station, before heading to Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney. Their previously announced Perth Festival show on Sunday, February 28th has already sold out, prompting the group to add a second date at the venue on Saturday, February 27th. See full dates below.
“We’re crazy excited to be back on home soil playing these shows in Australia. We can’t wait to be back in a room with people and seeing where the night takes us,” The Avalanches said. “We’ve got a lot of new music we’re excited to play, alongside some old favourites, and we can’t wait to spend a few nights making some beautiful noise and memories together.”
Tickets will go on sale at 9am on Tuesdaty, October 6th, following an artist presale at 9am on Friday, October 2nd. All times are local. Sign up for presale here.
Australian-born, London-based producer and DJ HAAi will join The Avalanches as special guest for the east coast dates in Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney. Her new 10-track club record, DIGITiSE, arrives on October 9th via Mute Records, following last year’s HUMANiSE.
The tour comes as The Avalanches prepare to release their fourth studio album, No Bad Memories, on October 16th.
The band have offered several previews of the record throughout 2026, including “Together” with Nikki Nair, Jessy Lanza and Prentiss, “Every Single Weekend” with Jamie xx, “Blue Shadows” with Karen O, “Can’t Get Over Losing You” with Portraits of Tracy, and most recently, “Far Away” with John Glacier and Khadija Al Hanafi.

No Bad Memories also features contributions from Rivers Cuomo, Panda Bear, Barry Can’t Swim, Ryoji Ikeda, Haruomi Hosono, and Mike Patton, among others.
According to Robbie Chater, the record began with “rhythmic experiments using the sonic leftovers and hallmarks of the technologies we grew up with”, incorporating sounds from hard drives, computer hardware and other obsolete technology.
The Avalanches have also been ramping up their live activity ahead of the album, appearing at Primavera Sound Barcelona and selling out two nights at London’s Roundhouse.
Back home, they recently staged a surprise show at Sydney’s Club 77, where fans lined the street outside the intimate Darlinghurst venue hoping to get inside.
