The department meeting has begun…Taylor Swift has released her eleventh studio album The Tortured Poets Department.
Swift reunited with both Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner for her latest album, which explores her most recent relationships as well as her own public image. The album features previously announced collaborations with Post Malone (“Fortnight”) and Florence and the Machine (“Florida!!!”).
There are four physical versions of the album available for purchase, with different bonus tracks on each. Those four bonus tracks are not yet available digitally.
Swift announced the album at the Grammy Awards in February, while accepting the award for Best Pop Vocal Album. It continues a hot streak for Swift, who has released four albums of new music in the last four years. Since 2021, she has also released four re-recorded versions of the albums she released with Big Machine Records.
Following the release of her tenth album Midnights in 2022, Swift announced her massive Eras Tour. She kicked off the North American Leg in March of 2023 and has since also traveled to South America, Asia and Australia. The European leg will begin May in Paris where she will be joined by Paramore. The tour will end with a short, second North American leg this fall, where Gracie Abrams will re-join as her tour opener.
