Taylor Swift has written a new poem that will be included on her latest exclusive vinyl release for her upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl.

Swift announced The Life of a Showgirl: The Crowd is Your King edition on social media, writing, “A showgirl knows to save some of her best tricks for the grand finale…”

The release will be available only at Target, and it’ll be pressed on an opaque pink and pale-yellow pearlescent vinyl with some gold touches (a color combo Swift dubbed “Summertime Spritz Pink Shimmer” in her post). Along with the new Swift-penned poem, the package will feature a custom gatefold sleeve, a double-sided poster, full album lyrics, and never-before-seen photos.

Swift has announced numerous variants for The Life of a Showgirl, but while the packaging may be different, every version of the album will feature the same 12 songs. The LP, slated to arrive next Friday, Oct. 3, marks Swift’s 12th studio album and follows 2024’s The Tortured Poets Department.

The Life of a Showgirl will find Swift reuniting with super-producers Max Martin and Shellback, with whom she last worked on 2017’s Reputation. Swift crafted the album in between stops on her Eras Tour, and the title track is set to feature a guest appearance from Sabrina Carpenter.

To mark the release of The Life of a Showgirl, Swift will be hosting a limited-run theatrical event, Oct. 3 through 5. Attendees will get to see the music video for the album’s expected lead single, “The Fate of Ophelia,” lyric videos for other new songs, behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the album, as well as t lyric videos for o along with behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the album, and track-by-track breakdowns of what inspired Swift’s new music.
