Singing, acting, slaying. Taylor Swift can do it all, and in multiple languages.
During a rainy weekend show in Lyon on her “The Eras Tour” of Europe, TayTay surprised locals by speaking in French while interacting with fans.
In a clip which surfaced online earlier today (June 3rd), Swift can be seen calling for security to assist a fan in the front row, and doing so in French.
“Do you need help? Anybody, S’il vous plaît…thank you. Can we get someone to go right in the front?” she explained, pointing to a concert-goer from stage.
Swift even had a personal message for the attending fans, saying “happy Pride Month, Lyon” in between her verses on “You Need To Calm Down”.

It’s not the first time she’s looked out for fans at her shows, nor is it her first time publicly speaking in French. She opened the show with a bright “Lyon, welcome to ‘The Eras Tour,'” today, even addressing her French fans in their native tongue at multiple shows last month and numerous times over her lengthy career.
“I try to learn a bit of the language in whatever country we’re in,” Swift said in an earlier interview with NBC. It’s a big contributor to her ever-growing audience which sells out in any country she touches down in, evident in her tour ticket sales, weekly numbers, and heavy online Swiftie presence.
Swift smashed pre-sale records when the ‘The Eras Tour’ stopped in Australia late last year for seven dates across Sydney and Melbourne. Then, when her latest studio album The Tortured Poets Department dropped in April, a slew of chart records fell – including an extraordinary tie-up of the entire ARIA Singles Chart top 10.
Next up on Swift’s tour is three back-to-back shows at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, Scotland.
